Wayne, I still have mine. Yours is not quite as fancy as mine. They had 2 raised "diamonds" that were applied to the plate, one marked "show" and one marked "tour" that were applied over the two printed diamonds on the plate. It is a thick brass plate and is certainly the nicest memorabilia that I think I have received from an AACA event.

I had forgotten about the "extras". I attended all but no idea about the missing diamonds. Oh well!

  2. Doing a little house cleaning yesterday, and came across this cool license plate that had gotten lost in 30+ years of being an AACA member,

Back in 2010, Gloria and I attended our first indoor AACA Meet. Wow, it was a real winner! Everyone indoors, seminars at the same location and a couple of tours of the local important places to see there.

Best of all? The coolest license plate we have ever received as a trophy. Everyone received one. WOW!

Is that unusual for the period?

I bought some WWs although I think the black may look better. But I wanted to emulated the add.

You did fine PWN. I just always hear that "they look better with BW"! So, I'm saying, "See you could them them in White!" Ha ha.

and rightly so, the LAST thing we need is to see is Hartmann back on these forums.  I do not care if he has gone to Lourdes and is now "cured"....this guy was a MAJOR pain to us in the past.  let him lurk elsewhere.

Lord, have not heard that name in like forever. He was always smarter than anyone else. I wish I could ignore my wife the way he ignored us when we trying to straighten him out!!  :-)

Thanks, Glenn for the reminder to sue Wayne for chiropractor bills.  As soon as my lawyer gets out of jail he’ll hear from me 😃

You guys!!!  Now Pedro, I know you saw the sticker on the passenger window that says, "Enter at your own Risk"?

Anyway, I had forgotten about that day. I remember Richmond but have no idea where we went to after I picked you up. You're lucky I remember your nickname Elaine!!

Show me a rule from the AACA that states that YOU are the almighty that is given the right to change another mans title for his post! Your insane ideology tells you that you are better, smarter & more qualified( even though this is FAR from the truth) to create titles, rearrange paragraphs in posts (like you did mine), etc, etc!

Maybe you should read the definition of a MODERATOR! Nowhere in that definition does it say that YOU know better than the poster about how he wants his thread to be titled!

Now, this has gotten out of hand. I assume you do realize this is a "free' forum?

Moderators are not paid for the time that they spend, some say waste, on keeping things civil. I am a moderator too, but have been in the background lately, not having time to view it as necessary. But, let me say, this bickering only makes Peter's job harder and the AACA Board backs him up. The Board has enough other problems to deal with.

So, tone it down, be civil, and be happy that there is a car  site that we can have fun on.

  7. I don't usually bring up the AACA Museum but this month's wrap up on the last Tucker produced got my attention. Well worth reading.

Since my attention was peaked, I decided to google Tucker, then decided to find out who owned the remaining cars. First one on the list? Chassis number 0000!!  Wow I know this museum and this lady that owns it. Wayne needs to pay more attention on the antique car tours!!   :-)

Please read the list of car numbers and where they are today, really interesting.....

My simple message above was not aimed at this poster in particular, but was an appeal to members in general to do one of 2 things. ........

"Post about Jay Leno's explanation when he got burned by a fire while working under his White Steam Car. He is very off hand about this and he has new smooth skin on his face!"

Sir, which part of this explanation did you miss????
