Hi Tom. I have been doing my homework. The 24" & 36" signs sell for $400-$500. Not the 4 foot signs. They bring considerably more. Quite a bit more. You are correct about vintage. 1950's 1960's.

Thanks Lamar ! It hasen't ever been installed on a building, however it
has scratches. Been lying around in a building for 40-50 years.
I have personally know the guy I purchased this from for years.
He has had it stored in his building since the late 50's / early 60's.
Back then, He had quite a few of them. Two of them were used as snow saucers for his kids. A garden hose was cut and put around the sharp edges and secured with small ropes to keep the kids
from getting cut. He said that they built round wood frames and these "button signs" were screwed to the frames and then installed onto the outside of Diners,Grocery Stores, etc. It's the Real McCoy.
I checked eBay and the only ones that were identical were only 24" and 36". This one is 4 feet.
Nothing matches it on eBay.

He loved that Wildcat and used to talk about it alot. He also had owned a 1966 Skylark. Not even a close replacement for the love he had for the Wildcat, however he told me on many occasions that
he liked the quick little Skylark. Since I had one with 19,500 original miles, it gave us some "common ground" even though his love was for Full Size Buicks. It was my "66" that brought us together. I learned alot from Jim about Buicks and Parts and will always owe him for the wealth of knowledge he passed on to me. He reminded me of my Uncle Erv. Buick All The Way and NO Compromising.
Jim could be a bear sometimes, but deep down, I would say he was a real good guy. I have observed these Buick "Old Timers" for years and I have to say, everytime we lose one, part of the Buick Love goes with them. As Jeff Rottmann(Jim's Buddy) said to me today, "I Fricken Hate It"!
Rest In Peace Jim

I just got word that Jim Schilf passed away yesterday. We have lost a good Buick guy with years of Buick knowledge. He will be missed by us all. Greg...NEW1966

His wife is not well. She also needs prayer.
What a raw deal.
