  1. Jim - Thanks for the lead on the '30 Buick cowl lights. I was the successful bidder on eBay for the item. Only need a few more pieces to complete my '30 Roadster (Model 44)- two piece chrome hubcaps for wood spokes(caps with 7 1/2"(?) chrome ring to cover bolts), large center bumperette, flat spring that holds two piece front bumper. Any leads are really appreciated.<BR>Ken Liska

  3. Years ago I had my '53 Roadmaster Conv. top cylinder rebuilt when restoring the car. Old gentleman in Texas did the rebuild and sold me a synthetic fluid (yellow in color). It worked perfectly. (No longer have the car, unfortunately). At the same time a friend with a '53 Skylark rebuilt his but used transmission fluid. After spending 50k on the restoration he decided he didn't want to spend the extra $$ for the special fluid. So he used transmission fluid. It started leaking within days. Unfortunately the older gentleman has passed on, but perhaps someone is familiar with this synthetic fluid. Good luck to you.
