I just got this reply from the seller: I don't have the documentation except for the book it is in, 2 4's was a dealer conversion before it was sold new, it is an auto. car and the 1 of 11 known to be made, only two are registered in USA was straight from buick and DMV. thank you

The owner towed the car back to his residence. He never called me back in which I assume he does not want to sell. To bad...I am sure it will sit another 20 years.

I had a windshield shop remove my windshield from my Reatta last month for $75 and it came out perfect (he also made sure that he did not damage the rubber surrounding the windshield. The temperature was around 40 degrees...not too cold.

Stevo, Perhaps I misinformed what I wrote; what I meant to say was that BCA members are interested in the 39 and not that the Yard is owned by BCA members. It would be ironic if the 39 is a board member. Cheers...I will report back later this week.

I parted out this car but still has very good rust free quarter panels, burgundy seats (drivers 16-way power), rear window, engine (blew a head gasket but now exposed to weather elements), tranny (shifted good), exhaust (including cat) and misc parts. Has title. Needs to be removed by 31 October with a flatbed. Pics posted soon. Located in Gainesville Va.

Here is the story: The storage yard located in Chantilly Virginia sold the land which means that all of the vehicles will need to be removed by 31 Oct. I inquired with the storage yard owners and they told me that the 39 Buick was part of 40 vehicles that someone had owned and that he has no place to store the vehicles since he already had 100 cars on his own property. If the owners of the vehicles do not remove the vehicles by 31 Oct, a crusher will come in and pay $50 for each vehicle. I am still waiting for a call from the owner of the 39 since several folks on this forum have already inquired. I hope it will not be to late but the owners of the yard already knows that I am interested in the car (BCA members), therefore it will not go to the crusher if the owner does not remove the 39. I will keep everyone abreast of the situation.

Hello, I have a chance to buy a 1939 90L...there are no doors, front clip, motor, or trans. It is sitting in outside storage and have seen it for years. I never knew it was a Buick until I read the plate on the firewall...1939 90L. It is basically stripped. The owner has to get rid of the cars and it might get crushed at the end of the month. ... ?
