Hi I just picked up a 55 Buick special. The transmission is leaking a ton from front by engine. I have a chance to pick up a 322 with transmission just don’t know if it will fit in. Here’s some info on the engine and transmission I can pick up. On the motor side immediately next to the bellhousning the number is 01165 65. On the lock below the heads 1 3oT716 6. The intake manifold 1165364-2. The dynaflow is 1342992-6. Anyone know if this will fit into my 55 special

Thanks. The guy should be sending me the engine number soon. Both cars have the automatic dynaflow transmission. His is still hooked up to the engine. I’ll post both engine numbers when I get his. Would be great if the 322 with transmission fit right into my 55 Buick special

They did remove the carburetor. But I’m sure I could find one. They still haven’t sent me the engine number. I’m kind of waiting on that now. Thanks for your help.

The 55 has a push accelerator start would that be much of a problem with putting a 322 in it

Hi. I just picked up a 1955 Buick special. The transmission might be gone. I can get a 322 with transmission. Will that bolt right in ? Or how much work to make it fit. Thanks

I’m pretty sure a Buick 322 and transmission will go right in the 1955 Buick special I just got. Anyone know how I can tell.

He said it came out of a Buick special. Maybe he has the year wrong. How do you tell the engine year.

Well guy says it’s a 322 with transmission. You think it would bolt right up

Will a 322 and it’s dynaflow Transmission from a 53 special fit right into a 55 Buick special I just bought a 55 and transmission might be bad. Leaking all over along with antifreeze. There’s something about the kick starter that might not work to I think. I can get a 322 with transmission with 50,000 on it if I want. What do you think. Thanks
