  1. Is there anywhere that I can get the dimensions on the triangular mounting plate that does inside the car? If I can get a picture with a ruler beneath the mount, I can extract the dimensions. Wilson Fausel Cary, NC
  2. Another question: Does the rear seat back and rear interior side panels just pull off or are their fasteners that I need to be aware of?
  3. Thanks guys! With this information, you have led me down the path to installing a top holder. With the pictures you posted, I started looking through a parts box that came with the car and found what I think are the correct Top holders, 170548 and 170548. I did not find the mounting plates but I think they will be easy enough to make. I am not sure about the 3 leather straps. Ideas?
  4. Thanks Leif! Do you have any photos of how they go through the top or side and are attached inside the car?
  5. I am looking for any closeup photos of the cradles that hold my convertible top when it is folded down. Online I have found a few unclear images of the exterior but none of how they mount on the inside. So, in short, closeups of the exterior and interior would be greatly appreciated. 6. When I purchased my 1924 Buick, the line in the Motometer was red all the way to the top. So, I started reading on this an other forums about how to repair it. Somewhere in one of the forums, someone said to spin it in a bicycle wheel. I don't know who said it but it worked! I flipped the bike upside down, put it on a table and secured the Motometer between the spikes, head towards the rim, and started spinning. After about 1/2 a mile, I stopped - there was no change. I figured I would give it another chance and I spun it for about another 1/2 mile and a higher speed. This time when I stopped, I saw one tiny bubble, that was not there before, in the bottom of the glass tube - maybe success? So I stated cranking again, left hand then right. At the next stop, there were 3 bubbles! More cranking at as high a speed as I could crank, Lance Armstrong would be proud, and there was one large bubble close to the top. More cranking, and success! All of the red was at the bottom and the top was clear. It only took 7 or 8 miles, but it worked. I have driven the car several times since then and the Motometer moves as it should. So, a big thanks to whoever made that suggestion.
  7. Brian, Can you tell me which message has the information about turn signals? I have submitted my request to join but have not heard anything. Thanks, Wilson
  8. Looking for suggestions for turn signals for my 24 Buick Touring. I would prefer wireless but would consider wired. Wilson 919-417-0441
  9. I have a 1924-35 Buick Touring and was looking for production numbers. The only ones I could find stated 27,857/6,087. Which number is correct for my car?
  10. I am looking for what key blank I need for my 24-4-25 so a key can be made to lock the transmission. Even a closeup picture of both sides of yours would help. TIA Wilson
  11. Good luck! I have been wanting a water pump for my 24-35 but have not found one. You might want to also post in the parts wanted forum. Wilson
  12. I think I'll take the advice from all of you and talk her out of it. I think telling her what Larry said. "they do look fake at closer than 20 feet away" will help persuade her. and then show her how many whitewall turn brown should change her mind. Thanks to everyone for the advice! Wilson
  13. After seeing some cars online and in advertising with white wall tires, my wife is pushing for them. New white wall are not available, so we would have to go with the stick on. Three questions: 1) Are these stick-on white walls worth it? about $200 for 4 from Tire TireStickers.com 2) Were white walls available when my car was built? 1924 Touring model 35 3) How would white walls effect the car during AACA judging? TIA Wilson
  14. 1924 Buick Touring 24Four35 I believe I have an issue with either my condenser or coil getting hot on my 4 cylinder Buick. The car will run perfectly for 10 or 12 miles and then start cutting out. I would like to replace both with NOS if possible, otherwise, parts that are known working. Let me know if you have any and the price or know of a source. Thanks. Wilson Fausel 1924 Buick Touring 24Four35 Cary, NC 919-417-0441
  15. It would be great if you could take pictures from a driver's point of view.
