  1. Thanks EmTee, I will keep that in mind as a possible solution.
  2. All helpful Carl, thanks very much. The sender length I was referring to is the length of the plug in the head. I saw on Youtube video of a bloke that broke it off in the head because it was too ling and he over tightened it 🥴 Dave
  3. Hello everyone, My new 1937 Special sedan arrives mid next week and the first issue I need to look at is the temp gauge. I plan to install a temporary gauge while the genuine one is off being re-built. Can anyone help with the following info so I can order the correct (temporary) gauge to use while my genuine gauge is off being re-conditioned? 1) Diameter and number of threads per inch of the sender plug (so I can order an adapter if I need one for the unit I buy). 2) approximate length of the sender. I just want to be sure to sure I order the correct gear online as these gauges are not as easily sourced from parts retailers here in Australia. Thanks if you can help. Dave
  4. Well, that was a lot simpler than it could have been THANKS!
  5. Absolutely! The hat rack is an awesome addition. Can anyone please tell me where I can get one? Thanks in advance, Dave
  6. Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome, and for the tips and leads in this thread and by PM. I am very appreciative of the responses from forum members and the Buick community in general. I have a lot of learning to do, and this forum looks like a great place to get going. The search continues........ Dave.
  7. An old topic revival but I love your '38 Buick in that colour Mike. I am on the lookout for a '37 or '38 and would be more than happy with one that looks as good as yours. Dave
  8. Hello from Sydney Australia. My wife and I have decided we would like to buy a '37 or '38 Buick and have started the search. We already have friends in the Buick club of NSW and have joined the club ourselves in the past few months. I am looking forward to learning a thing or two about our potential new purchase and hopefully finding a car to enjoy very soon. Kind regards, David.
