  1. It looks like an early Oldsmobile, a friend has one in his dining room his great grandparents bought new in 1908 in Santa Rosa Ca. been in the family since delivered.
  2. It looks like a front fender mounted spare tire rod for a Studebaker pick-up truck late 40's or early 50's
  3. I was thinking maybe a 1920 Pilelish !!
  4. It works great off of 12 volts swings wide open lights up until power is cut off. Those who said school bus are spot on ! It is pretty heavy and has a bracket on back for a round bar mount. Thanks to all who participated. Where I live in Santa Rosa there is a sign that say's " Quail; have the right of way " They are the state bird here so thanks for that.
  5. no mounting provision on bottom has a bracket on the back tough
  6. Metal Canister approx. 10 inches high more round than beer can has a spring to pull door back closed. Has two sets of coils one large set with armature on top to open and close door and turn on 12 volt lamp. the lower smaller set of coils has a relay of sorts . I can't figure out what it does. I hooked up to a 12 volt battery charger and door will open without spring attached. Could it be 18 or 24 volts like a bus or truck thanks
