  1. Try these guys. They build OEM correct wiring harnesses. https://www.ynzyesterdaysparts.com/
  2. I believe Buicks used those for quite some time. I know that my 1954 Special had the track bar above the rear axle.
  3. kblawrence67 nice 68! I was looking at the side indicator lights and they appear to be from a standard Riviera? Is this a true GS?
  4. Quick question but did the 1968 Riviera have an ignition buzzer when the key is left in the ignition or is that for later models?
  5. While this doesn't address your issue I think the best thing to do when purchasing a classic is to ensure that the cosmetics are in decent shape. Mechanical can still be done at a fair price but when it comes to paint....wow. I've turned down quite a few nice cars because the paint was failing.
  6. Well I received some good news today. Turns out my block is returning from the machine shop and its going to be assembled Friday. Next week the engine will be tested to ensure everything is working properly. After that my car should be ready for pickup. I'll post pictures in a week or two if all goes well.
  7. I know I'm shooting in the dark here but if anyone has a very nice 1968 Buick Riviera steering wheel that's either functionable or restorable please let me know. I'm willing to pay a nice sum for one since the majority of the ones I'm finding now are in poor shape. Color preferred to be beige but I'm willing to accept other colors which I can have painted.
  8. If you can paint it yourself you'll save money. To give you an example of what a shop would cost you I had several quotes for the 1937 LaSalle I used to own. All were around the 20-30k range.
  9. My dad had one in the exact configuration....less the salt water.
  10. You learn something new every day! Thanks for the advice.
  11. Awesome never heard of that before!
