I had not seen the clock blank out before. I like how the optional grille guard in front follows the grille shape.

If I recall correctly, the right and left are the same, symmetrical about the long axis

Look in the "services offered" section above this one, there's a post from Bill's Auto. He did a good job for me, but I don't know if the border crossing is an issue for him

Is there a story about what looks like Catalan ribbons on the one Deuche?

I don’t know if 39 is the same, but my 41 had stepped wheel cylinders. You could only push the guts out one way
i assume you’ve found out that one side has left hand wheel lugs

I think the colors are ok. Chrysler products of this era, especially the entry trim like a Firesweep, did not have very flashy interior patterns, although I agree this one could use a restoration to original

Milan also made a coupe, but just as badly proportioned as the convertible.

Agree with Matt H.
Harmless, but a lot of work to convert a common car from one less desirable body style to another.

The floor mounted radio and speakers look bad but the dash and side panels aren’t cut this way. At worst a new carpet after yanking them and it’s fixed

Metal heats faster, but plastic expands more, so temperature cycles get multiple tries at stressing the bond

The plasticizer migration makes it brittle. The degradation of the vinyl backbone makes it yellow. All of the suggested fine abrasives will polish the surface layer, which is the most affected. If damages is deeper (likely from what you say) it’s time for a new window. Replasticizing doesn’t have to use coconut product. Epoxidized soybean oil is probably easier to get. This will restore a limited amount of the flexibility. The original process uses special conditions and equipment to get more permanent absorption

Olds did introduce a number of innovations, but the source for the original list is leaning on a GM press item which as usual claims they invented everything, or uses qualifiers to hedge the claim. The many counter examples are showing this.
one more- virtually all prewar Mopars had a third brake light mounted on the decklid

That windshield header makes me think this may have started as a closed car.

I did a quick look for a summary 0n ibiblio, cuz the math of the one study is suspect
Briefly:
Finland 1976, 21% less accidents with DRL
Sweden 1981, 11%
Norway, 1986, 14%
Norway, 1993, 10% day, 20% worse at night (using DRL for headlights?)
15% better in summer, no difference in winter
Denmark, 1994, 6%
34% better on left turn accidents
US 1970, 18%
SAE 1985, 7%
Canada, 11%
SAE 1994, 69% less damage (conducted by a rental company)
Some question the applicability of the Scandinavian studies to other climates
A confounding effect is the overall underlying trends over time - some studies have good control groups but this a problem with "before and after" studies

Be very careful with Simple Green. Not all "rubber" mats are really rubber, and Simple Green can leave permanent marks on some plastics. This is based on OEM qualification tests.

Can you tell me the difference between a Sportster and a club coupe? Was it just a different name or were there other changes?
The Sportster was basically a fancy trim club coupe/2 dr sedan, it cost about $200 more than the 2 dr sedan in the same line. The Mayfair , Panama, and Pacific had true hardtops available.

Why guess? Call one of the 3M tech centers. Look up the one in greater Detroit that services the Tier 1 and OEM's.

at what model year would you say flower vases are no longer appropriate/authentic?

Matt raises a good point. We all have silly ways to spend time and money for our amusement and gratification. If "gaming culture" is code for something else, what is it?
Now the stereotype of a 35-year-old living in his parents' basement playing games has disfunctionalities - let's be clear on what the problem to solve is.

When I see the towel on the driver's seat I assume bad upholstery, so you might as well show what shape it's in.

USPS determined their own delivery metrics (good), fails to meet them, and does nothing about it.
I was recently shippped a tire. USPS damaged the label, returned it to the store, then charged them again to deliver it correctly.
The mentality of a government monopoly persists, even though they now have competitors.

The marks are not identical. The tail of the R crosses the circle on the car, and the ends of the lines are plain, not bifurcated. Could be a different version of Roycroft, but not definitive.
Henry Joy's "company car" would be direct from Packard.

Is Notre Dame 'the original' since the fire to her roof? You decide.
No because the spire was a later addition to the original

CCCA does not include this car - you might get a better response in the Ford section

in spite of being 38 years old, I think this sells on transportation value, not as a collector car.
