  1. Former Pines Winterfront Company 1135 Cicero Avenue, Chicago Illinois Pines Waterfront co. made thermostatically controlled radiator grills that allowed engines to warm up in a cold environment. The winter front controls the amount of cold air entering the radiator to aid in bringing the engine up to operating temperature. They also made an accessory for the early Fords called a Pines Winterfront which was added to the Fords in the winter to ensure they would run warm enough to enable the heater. They were pretty stylish IMHO.Try this for some photos of the Pines offerings:http://search.aol.com/aol/image?q=p...E768D134392076A14DD26037&v_t=keyword_rollover
