Check Speedway Motor for circle track tie rods and ball joints . This was quite an education for me . My ‘66 has four lower control arm ball joints which work just fine .

This rod actually affects the caster when braking. Similar to a Pinto front suspension . It does act a bit like a torsion bar . I’d be willing to bet the steel is not simple C.R.S.

56,700 mile Ca./Az. Car came to Florida last year..Deluxe Black vinyl notchback bench seat int. Looks most presentable . Last of 425 nailheads. Runs great. I redid front suspension ; reblt. center link new idler arm,and hardware. Everything stripped to bare and primed and painted . Addco frt. sway bar, gas shocks .glass is perfect. Die cast is good few pits. Bumpers straight but a little dull. Body is very solid with two dime size holes in large. Quarters . Has am/fm stereo with multiplex. Five new radials, battery, pwr..steering gear,It needs a fresh paint job and front seat foam . I’m out of ambition . Price is $7000 or close reasonable offer.
