  1. Do you know if all of the gauges were made by King-Seeley because they all look of the same design?? I will search and see what I can find. As always I appreciate your help Reid. Thank You Steve
  2. Looking for the following gauges for a 1929 Pontiac, water temp, oil pressure and gas gauge. Let me know what you got! Thanks Steve gothogs@consolidated.net

  4. Thank You for all the info Reid. Appreciate it all very much! Steve
  5. Thanks Dave and Reid. I was thinking they were 1930 because my Dad bought them at the same time he bought a spare 1930 engine and tranny. Was just wanting to confirm it since this was about 40 years ago and I was only 14 at the time. We used to go to a lot of swap meets and search for Pontiac parts. If Dad thought it would work in the 29 he would buy it for a spare. So I have the original 29 motor that I am starting to rebuild, the complete 30 engine/tranny and another 29 short block assembly. Thanks for your input guys! Steve
  6. Can anyone positively tell me what year this rear end and front end are from?? I inherited them from my Dad with his 1929 Pontiac after his passing but by looking at the hubcap I am guessing that it is not off of a 1929 even though the rims measure 19 inch like the 1929 does. Will any of the parts interchange with the 1929??
  7. Thanks 32Pontiac6. It looks like a new one from Brassworks is probably going to happen. Just need to save a few more coins.
  8. You are absolutely correct Tinindian. Thank You for your input!
  9. Thanks Tinindian. Looks like that is what I am going to have to do. These things are not real common anymore as I am sure you know. Thanks!
  10. Tinindian--Yes they say that it is a true honeycomb. I imagine I will just have to suck it up and pay the man. It's just hard to pay that much when that is probably half the value of the car. But I know items for a vehicle that is 87 years old can get expensive since you cannot just go to the local shop and pick one up off the shelf. But it will be worth it in the long run. I helped my Dad restore this car 40 years ago when I was 14 years old. My dad passed away 13 years ago and my Mom would not let the car go so it just sat in the barn. She has finally passed it on to me. The engine rusted up but I have gotten it free. I am completely rebuilding the engine and anything else that needs done to the drivetrain to get it dependable. The body I am leaving just as my Dad left it. This car has A LOT of sentiment to me so it will be worth it in the end. I know my Dad is smiling that his car is going to be back on the road where it belongs.
  11. Thank You for your input 32Pontiac6. Will check it out!
  12. 32Pontiac6---Thank You for your input! Brassworks estimate is a minimum of $3000 and I supply my old radiator. May end up having to pay the price because the car is not much good with out a radiator!! Thanks!
  13. Yes but didn't see anything in there. Thanks for responding!
  14. Looking for a good radiator for a 1929 Pontiac. Does anyone make them other than The Brassworks?? They can make one but major big dollars. Thanks for your input!

  16. I just seen on a very old post that the color is supposed to be a light green, not gray as my engine was. Obviously someone painted it over the years. I found paint for a 1930 but from what the old post shows that 1929 color is a different from the 30. Where can I buy or get a sample of the 29 color to get it custom mixed??
  17. What was the correct color for the engine in a 1929 Pontiac?? From what I can tell from whats left on the engine it was probably a dark gray. Is this correct?? Who sells the correct color?? Also was the transmission black?? Thanks!!
  18. I have a 1929 Pontiac 2 door sedan and its seats are the same as you describe. I am positive that they are original ones. I will try to get you a picture when I can. I have them out of the car right now because I am rebuilding engine/transmission etc.
  19. I am looking for a thermostat housing/pipe for my 1929 Pontiac split head 6 cylinder. The one I have now has been repaired too many times!
