  8. The 1942 Lincoln Continental was in production for only a few months due to the outbreak of World War Two, which resulted in a shutdown of the U.S. auto industry. With only 136 Cabriolets produced in 1942, this was the lowest production of Lincoln Continentals of the 1940s era. It is estimated that less than eighteen 1942 Lincoln Continental Cabriolet's survive today making it one of the rarest Lincoln Continentals in the world. Truly a very rare and desireable car. The V-12 engine and transmission with overdrive have just recently been completely rebuilt at a cost of $20,000 and has been driven less than 200 miles since the rebuild. The car has been restored and the chrome has been replated. This fine automobile draws attention wherever it goes and is the perfect color combination. Undercarriage of the car is excellent and there is no rust. Exhaust is Stainless steel. Trunk carpeting is perfect. Comes with a rebuilt radio as the one installed in the car does not work. The car will ONLY need to have the convertible top motors rebuilt. This car was ahead of its time with the V-12 engine, push button doors and rear cobra brake light. I am the third owner of this car and have owned it for over 7 years. The owner I purchased it from had it his collection since 1965. Once in a lifetime opportunity to own a super rare and collectible classic car to add to your collection. Turns heads and attracts crowds everywhere it goes. May consider a partial trade towards my car such as a Mercedes Benz, Corvette, Cadillac, H2 Hummer. Reduced $20,000! Asking ONLY $59,000. Call Todd at 860-659-8119 or 860-803-1000.
