  1. I see that someone has asked for the flipper handles, but looking for just 1. If you have any, please send photo of what you have. I have all four(4) but one lost the spring to keep the pin in place.
  2. Anyone have the wiring diagram for a 1923 Ford Model T? Anyone have a Model T that has a regulator, and if so the wiring for it in a 1923 Ford Model T?
  3. I have a 1949 1st Series New Yorker with a converted FM radio.... works well, previous owner paid $700 to have it done. Are you still looking for where the highness bulb goes?? Can provide a photo.
  4. I recently acquired a 1949 Chrysler New Yorker 1st Series 4-door, with a C39 (8 cylinder) engine. From the attached Body Tag, this tag shows from past similar articles that this vehicle shows: HR for a Hearter; CL for a Clock with antenna; LU for a Luggage Rack which is not present; and the Paint Code of 3 which, I believe, is a Newport Blue. The car is also equipped with a radio, day/night mirror and turn signals. From those in the know, can anyone decipher what all the coding means. If you are needing anything further, please contact me Thanks John
  5. Tearing down a 1948 Chrysler New Yorker straight 8 due to engine seizing. Have removed most lines and parts except for the distributor. Have removed bolts located beneath distributor, but cannot get it to turn or come out. As this is probable the original distributor, I am trying to slowing tap it free. Have applied 10w30, but cannot make any progress. Have not tried encouraging it from below . . . Help . . . John
  6. The replacement seal that was removed had an OD of 3.189 which was too big, the ID was a 1.750 of which fit nicely. For the differential I have, the 3.371 or 3.229 is larger then what was removed. Not sure why this is a smaller OD.
  7. My 1949 New Yorker 1st Series (or 1948) is leaking from the rear pinion seal. Upon removing the seal, it appears that it was previously replaced with a National Oil Seal #470088 which was never seated fully. Believing that it was just worn, I purchased its replacement and found out why the original was leaking . . . . it not the correct size. The dimensions of this pinion seal are 1.750 x 3.189 x 0.437. As I work to try and find its correct replacement, I cannot get the exact measurement of the housing bore. Can anyone direct me to a source to replace this seal along with the correct seal dimensions.?. I have tried Napa, Auto Value, O'Reily, and currently waiting for a reply from Kanter and will try others. Thanks John
  8. I recently purchased a 1949 Chrysler New Yorker 1st Series with Engine #3976022 and VIN 7085479. I have found that the VIN's of this time supposedly were from 7085470 to 7092068. I am trying to find out more in decoding these numbers. I would appreciate any assistance that this Club could offer. If you need anything further please advise Thanking you in advance, John
