  11. <o:p1941 Desoto Custom Business Coup 8-)</o Hi again I have noticed this image and was wondering if anyone here would know the background as to why the radio emblem and horn button both appear to be black as opposed to the traditional Blue ?. Would this be because of the war restrictions. Thanks Gordon
  12. Yup this looks very much like the images , what we need here now is someone who actually owns or has some pics of the area in question so if you can help please weigh in ! Thanks Gordon 8-)
  13. Hi again After many fruitless attempts of trying to upload system finally let me do it the next day 8-( ? Finally got the image uploaded here is the back of the badge you cant see it but the threaded rod extends a little under 1cm, way too much I would think for headlamp band to accept without being in contact with the lens I may be wrong as I don't have access to one to check it out. Thanks Gordon
  14. Hi Folks Enclosed closeup image of the horn button badge Notably the horn button has a longer threaded shaft, this would be too much for the headlamp band i would think? Thanks Gordon
  15. Hi all Thanks for that I assume you mean the emblem that was on the horn button would fit the band and not that this image is the same as the band shown previously as it is the same band Thanks Gordon
  16. Morning Richard Sorry not for sale part of my treasure chest ! but i do have a question to go along with this, would this badge fit a 1933 DeSoto headlamp band like was shown by auburnseeker in Sept of this year? anyone Thank you Gordon
  17. Hi there Thanks for your input that really helps, sorry it isn't for sale as I thought it was very unusual when I came across it and took a punt to acquire it for myself. Any other info would be helpful ! thank you Gordon
  18. Hi again Folks Going through my "treasure box" and came across this item. I am reasonably certain it may be a horn button from a 40s desoto cannot be sure as no reference # etc. Any help appreciated Thanks again Gordon
  19. Morning Folks Jim thank you for that, I was going along that line myself but could not find any reference to the horn itself having the emblem so decided I was looking in the wrong direction. thanks once again for that by chance Jim do you hail form Alberta ? and had a article written about you. 22. I like it !! Thinking outside the box, I don't suppose you have spares ? could be a market for driver quality parts. Still looking around for the base mount even a pic of what the whole thing looked like would be great Gordon 8-)
  23. :)Hi there As there is a lot of interest in this hood emblem i would like to ask you collectively does anyone here know where i can get a mounting base from to go with my emblem ? no idea of the actual part number but have modified a pic seen here . Enclosed a pic of my ornament # is : DC 763708 someone here may have a spare they are willing to sell or a contact for me to try as being "Down under" does not give me many avenues for parts as you guys have here ! Thanks Gordon
