They go between the tire and rim. I see the tires are 6 Ply. Might ride a little hard.

I70 wasn’t through CO until 1992? I never knew that.
The western end of I 70 in Colorado goes through a narrow, crooked canyon. It was very difficult to build in that location, not to mention very expensive. It’s a beautiful drive with the Interstate being elevated for a long distance. Beneath it is a river used by kyacks.

Great cars Gsmoke, thanks for posting. I think the Imperial is a 55.

That could be a winterfront on that car.
John, that was my first thought when I saw it.

I am worried about Keiser. Now he is going into other peoples buildings to get those great car pictures!?

The last one I saw, a few years ago, was at Porky's Drive In over in St Paul. It had a tube frame and a blown engine.
Hudsy, please explain. Did the engine have a blower on top of it, or were parts of the engine scattered around Porkys parking lot? Hahahaha!!!! Well, it was a Nogo, I mean Yugo.

Hello Jorge, welcome to the forum. You should also try the p15-d24 website. A fellow on there has a 39 Desoto like yours. His name is RichHartung and he uses the forum name of 39 Desoto. Rich will be glad to help you.

Not necessary to have a category to spot Keiser. It’s so easy to do. Get in your old car and drive slowly down the street. Look carefully, he is there, somewhere , with his “candid camera”.

Hi Vic, boy you looked a lot different back then! I’m sorry, just had to tease you. Good to see you back on here. Hope your new career is going well.

Mechanicals first, cosmetics second. Make sure you have the brakes in perfect working order. All rubber parts in brake system are suspect from sitting so many years and should be replaced. This includes all hoses and seals in the master and wheel cylinders. If steel lines show any rust replace them also, or just do it anyway for safety and peace of mind. Better to only open system one time.
This will be a sharp car and fun driver.

Ok, I will say it. Only Cord rat rod on the planet because no one else would do that to one of the best car designs ever.

Keiser, I just knew you and your camera would be hiding in the weeds when that Ford went by.

Wow! Not only is there a parade of antique and interesting autos going by Keisers house, now they are driving onto his porch!
-
Hi Keiser, is it possible there is a time warp centered over your town? My guess as to why the largest concentration of antique and interesting autos in America seems to follow you around. Please do not ever leave the house without your camera!

Maybe the place you are speaking of is Pioneer Village in Minden, Nebraska. Have heard that it is in a declining state due to lack of funding/visitors.
My first visit to Pioneer Village was in 1963. My third visit was 3 years ago. It is getting in a run down condition, and I find that very sad. This place has antique everything. Anyone traveling Interstate 80 across Nebraska would enjoy a visit, if you like old stuff. It is a short drive south of 80 in Minden, Nebraska.

The coil being New is no guarantee. I had a new one last summer that was no good and spent a lot of time checking everything else until I determined it had to be the coil. Put an old used one on and it fired right up.

I am moving to the area also, on Sunday. I had to rent a furnished apartment and get on a waitlist for a condo. I will be able to move into the condo on 6/15. I plan to get to know the area better before moving into a house.
I found Zillow a good place to look for rentals. There are a couple property management companies that have most of the rentals. If you are in the market to buy, let me know. I will be a sales manager for a title company in Medford, Ashland and Grants Pass, and I could get you some references for Realtors who work hard for their clients from the escrow staff.
Hi Vic! Are you sure you will like an apartment? No garage to clean out!!! LOL. I would buy you a plane ticket as mine severely needs attention. Please bring Keiser with you as working over a pot of coffee with the two of you sounds like a great time. Would also be interesting to see if neat old cars drive by while he’s here! Hope you enjoy your new location.
