I70 wasn’t through CO until 1992?  I never knew that.

The western end of I 70 in Colorado goes through a narrow, crooked canyon. It was very difficult to build in that location, not to mention very expensive. It’s a beautiful drive with the Interstate being elevated for a long distance. Beneath it is a river used by kyacks.

The last one I saw, a few years ago,  was at Porky's Drive In over in St Paul. It had a tube frame and a blown engine.

Hudsy, please explain. Did the engine have a blower on top of it, or were parts of the engine scattered around Porkys parking lot? Hahahaha!!!!  Well, it was a Nogo, I mean Yugo.

  3. Mechanicals first, cosmetics second. Make sure you have the brakes in perfect working order. All rubber parts in brake system are suspect from sitting so many years and should be replaced. This includes all hoses and seals in the master and wheel cylinders. If steel lines show any rust replace them also, or just do it anyway for safety and peace of mind. Better to only open system one time.

This will be a sharp car and fun driver.

Maybe the place you are speaking of is Pioneer Village in Minden, Nebraska. Have heard that it is in a declining state due to lack of funding/visitors.

My first visit to Pioneer Village was in 1963. My third visit was 3 years ago. It is getting in a run down condition, and I find that very sad. This place has antique everything. Anyone traveling Interstate 80 across Nebraska would enjoy a visit, if you like old stuff. It is a short drive south of 80 in Minden, Nebraska.

  5. The coil being New is no guarantee. I had a new one last summer that was no good and spent a lot of time checking everything else until I determined it had to be the coil. Put an old used one on and it fired right up.

I am moving to the area also, on Sunday. I had to rent a furnished apartment and get on a waitlist for a condo. I will be able to move into the condo on 6/15. I plan to get to know the area better before moving into a house.

I found Zillow a good place to look for rentals. There are a couple property management companies that have most of the rentals. If you are in the market to buy, let me know. I will be a sales manager for a title company in Medford, Ashland and Grants Pass, and I could get you some references for Realtors who work hard for their clients from the escrow staff.

Hi Vic! Are you sure you will like an apartment? No garage to clean out!!! LOL. I would buy you a plane ticket as mine severely needs attention. Please bring Keiser with you as working over a pot of coffee with the two of you sounds like a great time. Would also be interesting to see if neat old cars drive by while he’s here! Hope you enjoy your new location.
