You will love the shop press as I love mine it can bust anything. How come you din't use your car lift to raise the press header?

Look like early sickle bar mower wrenches.

The axle does move in the bushing and that is why there is a grease fitting.

John when you first turn on the key can the fuel pump be heard running for a few seconds?
The fuel pump has nothing to do with no starter operation.
With the ignition switch removed from the stearing column and still wired it can be operated by hand ,( may need small screw driver )

the only reason for resistor plugs is to remove radio frequency interference other than that they are the same as regular plugs of the same heat range.

If your peddle is soft the master cylinder is in need of rebuilding

If you can cover them with some period material that covers the complete aria at about the same height as the speaker covers it might work.

My security lite is on and the starter does not operate so I ran a wire from the starter solenoid to the battery plus terminal to use briefly and the engine will start and run about 10 seconds and stop. Apparently the ignition switch does not read the key resistor ,at this time I have not repaired it.

check the security system I have the same problem and the security system is at fault.

The horn button problem check who made the stearing box and colum as it was probably used on other cars.

the master cylinder can be replaced by it self.

modern oil will work just fine. I used modern oil since 1961 in all my antique autos with no ill effects and still use my autos regularly, some of which have gone over 40000 miles.

I forgot to mention that the removed vacuum line must be plugged when disconnected or the gauge could be attached to it. the popping could be a sticking valve and might loosen with running.
Al

The timing can be set with the vacuum gauge with the engine running turn the distributor to get the highest vacuum reading and the timing will be correct.

A suggestion for displaying the curtains place them on the back seat and install one on the car, this is to prove that they belong to this car.I have seen curtains that didn't belong to the car they were displayed with.
You might be ask to remove them from the seat. Placing them on the ground behind the car is acceptable but is not recommended as someone might step on them.
A suggestion for storage have David make a pouch to store them flat.

The original pump will pull through the electric one, I've done this numerous times.

John I liked your choice of lites fore your new building since we just got a new costo I went there and bought some and got a welcome surprise they are very bright in a un heated shop were other shop lites may not lite or be dim with a temperature of 10f or less.
Our temp is running -10 to -15 most nights and highs of +6 to +16 and over of 4 foot of snow on the ground and more coming. My antique auto work is at a stand still.

I have the same type of inexpensive help, that had to rescue me from the top of my larger drill rig when the drill stem moved over about 1/4 inch and caught my pants leg cuff and I couldn't get it loose. My second chose was remove pants, neighbors might not approve.
