  1. my speedo gear had no teeth at all, The old one was a 20T so that's what I replaced it with. Got it from Bestoffercounts (Jim Kehr 215 767 0845) . Compared to my garmin my speedometer reads fast. I have a 3.23 rear gear. H78 15 tires. I'll see how far off it is in the spring with the new tires 225 75R 15 s. I think Dick S had a NOS 20T.

Charles;    NW Transmission at my urging & after about 6 months made 5 or 6 speedo gears

for 63 dynaflow. I got one.  Check to see if they still have some.  They are the only people I

know of who are making new ones. They want $60.00 plus for one but the unit is

not all that simple. Their # is 800-327-1955 or 937-442-2811. I see you have a

silver 63, is your interior color silver? Email me wvhabeeb@sbcglobal.net if it is.

also bestoffercounts  on ebay also Dick Sweeny on this forum.

  3. I am going to remove my passenger side exhaust manifold and try and clean out the "stove pipe". Looks like pipe material has broken off in it blocking the way to insert new pipe. Has anyone tried to lightly drill/ream out old pipe material without damaging the "stove".

Inline tube sells a 2 pc. kit for a 63 that fits a Rochester. why would this be different than a  Carter?

I'm looking for some insight from forum if I'm going in wrong direction. Maybe I should be looking for a different manifold.

I have a "Stove"  but really don't know what it goes to. Wonder if its replace able?

    Thanks Chuck

  4. Still trying to wrap my old brain around these controls but I'm getting there. I bought the hose kit from old air products and they fit much tighter then what was there.

The only way I was able to hold Vacuum in the system was eliminate the branch threw the fire wall to the modulator. Replacing that hose may be a problem. Until I start trying to get the AC working the STV won't be needed. Also found out I could make a nice tight slice use ball point pen refill.

  5. Trying to follow the Vacuum circuits on my AC controls and the first thing I notice is the input into Vac switch #1 is 15Lb. (Manifold Vac at idle) but the output side is only 5Lb. (when Open)

This does not seem right or does the switch reduce vacuum on purpose?

  6. I was hoping for a way to determine rim width while they were still on the car. I was going with the 225,  but if they are 5.5 in I will have to use the 215.

thanks. Discount tire runs about $5 cheaper than Walmart.

  7. You can see the dilemma I'm in. I thinking about using Hankook 225 75 tires. I have to order them (Discount tire $50.00 deposit) So they break tires down only to discover I do not have matched set of rims.  No way they are going to reinstall these 20 year old bias tires while I try to find rims to match. Pretty sure the spare is a 6" but the other may be mixed. May being key word.

The measurement I am showing varies as much as a 1/4 inch on the 5 rims. were the tolerances this sloppy? all rims have the Riviera slot

  9. Ok, I am getting ready for new tires and looking at existing rims. I measured down from edge, in the same spot on each rim, and they vary as much as 1/4 inch on each.

maybe this is within tolerances. I am pretty sure the spare is 6x15. but trying to make sure what the others are.
