  1. Thanks for the info.

    1) Can anyone tell me the color the semi gloss primer was that used by fisher?

    2) For a frame off restore, do professional restorers paint the bottom of the body with primer and overspray, or paint the bottom of body fully the body color?

    Thanks

  2. To tell the truth, I have note decided on color yet.

    1) Are the formulations all on one page?

    2) If so, could you scan it and post it?

    3) Where would be the best place to see photos of cars with each color?

    Thanks

  3. I have some questions about paint on a 1937 Buick Roadmaster (model 81):

    1) Can anyone recommend a paint and color that would best match the original paint of the FRAME and CONTROL ARMS?

    2) Should the firewall be painted to match the overall paint color of the body for car to be original?

    3) Was the bottom of the body originally painted to match the overall color of the body.

    3) I found a chart (see attached) that gives original Duco colors. Is there a cross reference that matches the original 37 Buick colors to a current manufacturer?

    Thanks

  4. I'm trying to determine length of the bottom of 36 and 37 Buick Doors for model 40, 60, and 90.

    My 37 Roadmaster model 81 has rear door bottom of 21 5/8 inches and front door bottom of 38.

    1) Would owners of other 36 & 37 models mind measuring and sharing dimensions of doors near the bottom (see picture).

    Thanks

  7. Thanks for the feedback.

    I have not tried to remove the dash yet. Thought I read they were welded in, perhaps that was misinformation.

    1) Can someone confirm that the dash was not welded in on a 37 Buick Series 80?

    2) Could anyone who has a 40, 60 or 90 series measure the overall width of the dash for me (where dash meets wall). I'll measure and post the width of the 80 series in case that info is helpful to someone else.

    Thanks

    Mutt

  8. <!-- google_ad_section_end -->I'm looking for a replacement dash for a 1937 model 81 Buick Roadmaster.

    Does anyone know if the sheetmetal on the on 1937 Buick series 40, 60, 80, and 90 are dimensionally the same?

    (I know that the sheetmetal dash 1937 Buicks are welded in).

    Thanks

  9. Sounds trivial, but can someone provide guidance on how to remove the front seats?

    I have the front lower cushion removed.

    Looks like there are four bolts with nuts under the car, but cannot see the heads to put a wrench on the top side.

    1) Are these the correct bolts to remove the seats?

    2) Do I need to dissassemble something else to access the bolt heads on the top?

    Thanks<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

    Thanks for the pointers.

    Tom, nice looking car. Probably looked like mine did when my Grandparents bought it used in '42. Blue paint job and 30 years in the elements has taken it's toll.

    Hopefully in a couple of years I'll have her back.

    1) Sounds trivial, but would any of you gentlemen know how to remove the front seats?
