Could be that your vacuum tank float has a hole in it and it's sucking gas in through the vacuum line acting as uncontrolled fuel injection.

Workin g on a 1941 Cadillac, motor runs beautiful. When engine warms up oil pressure at idle will drop to 4 lbs. I do have an external gauge on it. You have to really rev it to get up to 25-30 lbs. Tried a stiffer spring in the oil pump relief valve and it did not make a difference. I installed an external pressure oiler and the oil came pouring out of the holes that are right next to the connecting rod journals on the crank shaft. Is there supposed to be any kind of restrictor in those holes. The motor runs great. No rod or main bearing noises. Lifters are quiet. I also checked out the oil pump and that seems to be in spec. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks very much. Charles S.

Does any one know if there is any literature specific to the coupe pick up and also does it reflect in the serial number. Also if there is a parts book specific to this model. Any information on this model is greatly appreciated.

Sounds to me like your battery terminals or cables need to be cleaned. Try wiggling the cables while you have some one work the starter.

Try Andy Bernbaum, Egge machine or Kanter automotive in NJ all can be found on google

Hello, I am working on a 1928 Pierce arrow model 81. On the fuel tank there is a valve for a 3 gallon reserve. I have the lever part and the top casting off the tank and it has a long rod on it that goes to the bottom of the tank. It doesn't seem to be attached to anything. Am I missing a part? Does any one know of or have a picture of how the mechanism works? I have the parts book and the owners manual and they don't show anything. Any help would be appreciated. My number is 631-738-7712.

Does any one out there have the front spring rebound bumpers. It also looks as if the pad that the spring sits on is built into it also. I also need the bottom spring pad , which looks like a small mountain with the rubber spring pad at its base. The part number on the upper one is 1404752. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Charles S. You can call me at 631-738-7712
