  1. I am downsizing my vintage car parts. I was told this headlite could be from a 1926 Chrysler. Could some ID it for me please. Thank-you. Marv
  2. Hi, is the one that fits in the dash board? If so can you send me a photo to katmandu@shaw.ca Thanks Marv
  3. Greetings from BC. Canada At the moment there are eight 1932 Chevrolet door vent fingers up for bid on ebay. The bid is at $9.50 + shipping. Bidding closes in the next 10 hours. I own a 1932 Chevrolet coupe and I also have half of a 1932 Pontiac hood (top and right side). The fingers are the same as the ones on my Chev. I hope this helps. Cheers! Marv
  4. Judging by serial numbers, there were about 6,282 V-8's made in 1932 (versus about 34,000 sixes).Took this quote from Wiki. Very rare car.
  5. I own a 1927 Dodge coupe. It is all original, 4 cylinder 6 volt system. I am thinking of changing out the vacuum tank used to supply fuel to my carburetor to a 6 volt electric fuel pump. There are two 6 volt fuel pumps that I can buy on line. One is built for 2.5 to 4 lbs pressure, the second one is built for 5 to 8 lbs pressure. Which one would be more ideal to run on my Dodge. Also would I be inheriting any problems if I do go ahead with this change out. Thanks. Marv
  6. I can not find my 1927 Dodge manual, and am now getting ready to fire up this baby. The engine is a four cylinder and engine number is B775-700. The engine was rebuilt back in the 1970's, and has never run since. I have turned over this engine faithfully 3 or 4 time a year via the starter an or crank handle. The distributor has being off the engine for repair (broken advance arm) but now looks ready to be used. I need the firing order of the engine, and any advice on the check list before I attempt to start this motor. I always put a few drops of oil through the plug hole before turning over the engine. I also am aware of the advancement of the spark advance. Any help would be much appreciated.
  7. Thanks for your replies. Does anyone know Myers email address, or mailing address? Pete, I will look into your suggestion. Thanks! Marv
  8. Bill, I have two air cleaners that are the ones used on the Dodge brothers engine, neither have mfg tags on the cover, nor like yours, do they have holes where the tag would be mounted to. Do you remember any details in regards to the mfg tag used by Dodge brothers? One other question I have is what is the function of this type of air cleaner? I can't see it filtering out dust particles from the air going to the carb, but it possibly may increase the air flow to the carb. Thanks for your reply. Marv
  9. :confused:Enclosed is a photo of a water pump outlet fitting from my 1926 Dodge engine. A stud goes through the small hole to mount this fitting to the body of the engine. There must be an after market gasket that works well with this to stop water from seeping through. If so where would I find one, or has anyone one made up one that works. Thanks! Marv
  10. Enclosed are a couple photos's of an air cleaner made by United air cleaner of Chicago. I own a 1926 Dodge with a similar air cleaner but this one is slightly smaller. My question is was this one also used on Dodge brother products, if so what years. Thank-you. Marv

  13. Hi, I have a 1926/27 Dodge coupe trunk lid, if you are still looking for one. Marv
  14. Mike, you may have to try a few springs to test the choke rod to see if it holds well. From memory, I think the spring is about 1/2 inch long and light to medium thickness. The choke rod should move smoothly though the tube but stay in the desired position you require. Marv
  15. I bought this trunk lid 20 years ago thinking it would fit on my 1926 Dodge coupe. It was close, and around the same time, I did find the correct trunk lid for my Dodge. I am in the process of clearing out my unused parts bin. I recently saw a photo of a 1926 Buick coupe, and the trunk lid does look very similar to the one I have enclosed. Could someone clarify if this trunk lid is off a 1925-26 Buick coupe. It measures approx 20 inchX40 Inch. Thank-you
  16. This is what you need. You may be able to make both the cable and rod if you can't find them at a swap meet. Cable is about 2 feet long. Marv
  17. Could someone ID I this trunk lid for me. I bought it years ago at a swap meet thinking I could use it for my 1927 Dodge coupe, which was close to the same measurements of approx 20 inches x 40 1/2 inches. I think its possibly Chev or ? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank-you!
  18. I am looking for the trunk lid locking mechanism for my 1926 Dodge coupe. I think it is made by Briggs and Stratton. See enclosed photo. Thank-you!
  19. Hi Dave, my early 27 Dodge uses the multi disc clutch. The transmission does not have the front protruding shaft.
  20. Vancouver BC, Canada. Send me your email address. Marv
  21. TonyAus, thank-you for your reply. My choke control is missing the spring and the ball bearing. Could you please give me the diamensions of the spring. I figured there had to be a spring involved, but that alone didn't work. Thanks! Marv.
  22. Enclosed is a photo of my 1926 Dodge choke control mechanism. I must be missing something. The control rod fits into the housing and the end attaches to the control wire that goes to the choke lever, but what keeps it at a set position:confused: ie. half choke or full choke.
