The Vacuum tank is make by Stewart Vacuum fuel feed, manufactured in Chicago USA. The model number is 215 H.

I have a vacuum tank including the brackets from the mid 1920's . I believe it was used on Dodge Brothers cars as it was the same as the one on my 1927 Dodge. I do not know if it needs a rebuild, but is in good shape. Asking $45.00 + shipping.

They do, but no more than the the louvers inside of my model hood Remember that the panel is indented slightly so the louvers run flush with the inside of the hood beyond the panel. Hope that makes sense.

I have included the inside photo. When I bought this hood years ago, I was told it was used on a 1932 Chev PU. The photos I have looked at for a 1932 Chev PU are not quite the same. Thanks for your responses. Marv

I need help to ID this hood. The hood measures approx 34 inches long and 22 1/2 in wide at the cowl end and 16 1/2 inches at the rad end. The inside panel with the louvers measures approx measures about 27 inches long. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. Marv

Hi again. The inner guts of this lever mechanism must be jammed or broken. Has anyone ever being able to remove the lever from the rod? If so please let me know the best way to do it. Thanks! Marv

Thanks for your reply. It is the shaft on the left photo. I have turned the adjusting bolt in and it makes the angle worse. Turning it out does nothing. What I need is to turn the shaft the opposite way. When you say you should be able to turn the shaft into any position that you want, it seems to me on the one I need to adjust, there is only about a five degree change in the adjustment. and only in one direction. Hi I am having trouble installing the passenger side emergency brake shaft. The drivers side went in without a hitch. When I attempt to install the passenger side I have to turn the key side of the fitting that fits on the backing plate, which in turn operates the brake shoe, and of course makes the hub too hard to turn. Their doesn't appear to be any adjustment inside the emergency brake mechanism to compensate this. Enclosed are a couple photos of the emergency brake shaft. I am wondering if there is any adjustment on it to compensate the adjustment of the brake. I have adjusted the main brake mechanism on the rear of the backing plate and it helps a little but not enough. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Marv

Hi Greg. A simple way to see if your generator is charging is check the battery voltage before you start the car, in your case 6 volts or so. When the car is up and running the voltage should read possibly a volt higher. Marv

Thanks for confirming the polarity connections and tips. Makes you wonder though about jump starting a Chev from a Ford of the same era as the Fords were positive ground.

I am in the process of wiring my 1932 Chevrolet. A wiring diagram in the back of my Chevrolet manual shows the system as negative ground. Is this correct, as my Ford for the same era is positive ground.

Does anyone know what material was used between the wood and the inner body to protect the body from scrapping. There is a possibility nothing was used, but I am nearing the stage where I will be assembling the new wood and would rather know before its too late. Thanks. Marv

I am down sizing my auto parts. I have a 1932 Pontiac 1/2 hood (passenger side) top and side which includes the 4 side vents in restorable condition. used on the 8 cylinder cars.

There is a slight curve about one inch from the front to the back. I have looked at some old car photos in the mid 1920s and it seems the Chevrolet, Buick and Oakland coupes all had small trunk lids, but I never saw any with the trunk lids open to see if they had the same wood structure. I don't think any of the Ford or Chrysler vehicles used wood or as much wood as the GM vehicles.

Please help me if you can to ID this trunk lid. I am not sure if the handle is original. The trunk lid measures approx 19 9/16 inches long and 40 inches wide Thanks Marv

I bought these quarter panels at a swap meet years ago for a project but never used them. Can anyone ID them. They look like they are from a roaster, late 20's or early 30's. Any help would be appreciated. Marv
