  1. Want to buy a windshield (prefer used at this time) to fit a 1960 or 1961 full size Ford car, 2/4 dr. sedan or wagon. NOT a Starliner or convertible. Prefer to be in s.e. U.S. Contact information is appreciated. Thanks, David.
  2. Rusty_OToole, Commodore...............Thanks for your replies.I have done some repair/refurbishment of the existing fuse block/junction box, and hope it will suffice to get the wiring completely checked out. Hopefully the spring tension on the fuse holder is still present, and the repairs will be OK. If not, I'll likely be asking for a fuse panel/junction block. Thanks, David.
  3. Can anyone post a pic of the fuse/junction block for a 1960 Ford full size car, or list the fuse locations in the junction block? The headlight switch attaches to the junction block. See attached pic of my junction block. As you can see, it needs some repairs (wiring is soldered to a couple of the fuse holders, and the print on the block is almost non-existent. Thanks, David.
  4. tom_in_nh, bhigdog, Thanks for your suggestions on the vent seal material. There are so many types of "rubber" available, I wasn't sure which type would work best, and be durable at the same time. I'll check the McMaster-Carr catalog for a piece or two. Thanks, David.
  5. I am needing to replace the rubber that forms a seal for the fresh air ducts in my 1960 Edsel. the rubber is sandwiched between two flat ovals of metal, and when the fresh air ducts are closed, this seal touches the inner sides of the ductwork. What type of rubber should be used, nitrile, natural, silicone, etc? Thanks, David.
  6. MikeC5.... Thank you. A scan would certainly be of great help. I'd like to learn how to use the strobe part of the unit. David.
  7. Marty, Thanks for the info in regards to the balancer. The Hunter is a unit similar to the Alemite, but is much newer. I'm going to try to do some experimentation with what I have, and try to figure it out. I've used the discs that mount on the rim, to balance tires, but not the strobe part. David.
  8. I am in need of a copy of the operating manual for an Alemite model # 7056 strobe type electronic wheel balancer. I have the strobe unit, and the vibration pickup, as well as the wheel spinner and the adapter rings for 13", 14", and 15" wheels. I have used the rings and spinner, but have not used the strobe, due to not having operating instructions. Anyone? Thanks, David.
  9. The item in the 3rd and 4th pics is not for the bed rail end, on the El Camino. I was informed by a gentleman who has had 1959s & 1960s, and it's all wrong. The rail is a lot wider, and the side rail extends to the tailgate edge, in one piece. Back to the hunt for what it is. Anyone? David.
  10. 28Chrysler.... The small piece might indeed be for the rt. rear corner of the box. I haven't found the left side piece (yet). I just don't remember the width of the trim on the top edge of the box. Also don't remember the seat having "chrome" trim on it. May have, but it's been 30 years since I parted out the car. David.
  11. 28Chrysler.... Thanks for the insight. After much late night thought, the items shown in pic 1 & pic 2 are the vent window rain guard moldings. These moldings affix to the "A" pillar, along w/ the "A" pillar wide chrome moldings that go to the windshield's rear side edge. Checked this against the "A" pillar moldings I have on the auction sight, and it all matches, contour mounting holes, etc. Not sure if the lower (base) models had these rain guard moldings or not. The Bel Air, Impala, El Camino had them. They may also fit other GM cars from 1959 and up for a couple of years, and probably only two door cars, if the windshield "A" pillar is different on a four door car. Don't know that for a fact though. David.
  12. I have a couple of pieces of molding/trim that I believe are from a 1960 Chevy El Camino, but I am not sure. Any help in identifying these pieces, and their placement on the vehicle is appreciated. I have included pictures of the face and reverse sides. Looks like they attach w/ screws. Thanks.
  13. I have a NOS hood ornament for sale. This ornament is for a Chevrolet Monte Carlo, but I do not know what year(s). The part # is #22527504. The Original box is almost non-existent, but the ornament is great! Asking $25. plus shipping to you. This ornament is only the part above the hood/header panel, as that is how GM packaged it.
  14. WTB: old school Cibie 45-IODE light. #s on glass A1480, SF-S34, IGM 4588 PN. Light is 7" overall diameter, w/ a 6" lens, thin stainless steel case. Thanks, David.
  15. I'm selling three used wheel covers to fit a 1969 (we believe) Buick Riviera. these covers are 15". The covers are in very good to excellent condition, but not show quality. They may be used for a daily driver. No curb rash, dents, etc. Asking $20. for all three, plus shipping in the lower 48 states. Too nice to throw out w/ the scrap metal, if someone has a use for them. Shipping should not be too much, as they are not heavy caps. Thanks for looking.
  16. I'm selling a NOS seat belt part to fit a 1960s Ford product. There is no part # on the belt. This belt is only the part that has the clasp. The clasp is an aircraft release type. The color of the belt is turquoise/green (you decide). The belt is stamped on the reverse side in white, 1-64, Rotunda, W-4. There is an instruction/caution sheet attached to the belt, marked I.S. 1363, Rotunda. Asking $10. plus shipping in the lower 48 states. No original box (the part was in a Rotunda box, just not the right one). Thanks for your interest.
  17. I have this listed in "Buy & Sell", as well as the Buick section, Buy & Sell. Asking $20. + shipping. I'd rather sell it than let it sit around in the shed . I'll never use it.
  18. I have for sale a solenoid switch to fit a 1942-53 Buick. May fit other years and makes of vehicles. This switch is a remanufactured unit by Kimco Auto Products Inc., Memphis, Tn., catalog # 1118019. I had this on my parts room shelf for a number of years, before I closed shop and retired. No box, only the end tab. The switch has some shelf wear (cosmetic). Sold as is, even though it is a remanufactured unit. Asking $20. plus shipping in the continental USA. Thanks, David.
  19. Offered to the forum before it goes on eBay. I have a Kimco remanufactured solenoid switch to fit 1942-53 Buick. May fit other years and vehicles (Pontiac, Olds, etc.). I had this item on my shelf in the shop before I retired and closed up. Box is gone, but have the end tab showing the application. Shelf wear on the item. Sold as is. $20. plus shipping in the continental US. Thanks. David.
  20. Charles, Thanks for the clarification on the solenoid switch. I have an end tab from the box it was in, but was insure if it was correct. I'm now going to offer it up for sale on the forum, before it goes to eBay. David.
  21. Can anyone tell me what this starter switch will fit. I've been told Buick, 1942-53. It's a remanufactured unit I had on my shop shelf for quite a number of years. Thanks in advance.
  22. Fleek, Grandpa, Bleach,....... Thanks for your replies. I've had this cluster in my parts storage for quite a number of years, and just couldn't remember what it came from. Thinking back, the car that the part came from was brought over to the U.S. from Germany, by a German Air Force fellow, so could absolutely be from an Audi. The car was parted out in the late 70s/early 80s. this was the only item I saved from it. David.
  23. I have a cluster assembly from a car, and need some help in identifying it. I believe it is from a 70s European car, possibly VW or BMW. please see attached pic. thanks.
