  1. Hi Bob,

First of all I'd love to see some photos of your car! My family has an unrestored 32 CI 6 sedan and I know from experience that finding another taillight will be very, very tough. One of ours had a broken stand with half missing and after many years of looking we were able to find a new stand that someone had made. Finding a correct taillight lens will also be a challenge!

I'm sorry I don't have any of those specific extra parts but would still love to see the car! There is another gentlemen out in your part of the country who recently restored one. I'll send you a PM with his contact info. He may have some parts or leads for you.

  2. I need to replace a broken latch on a Potter trunk from a 1932 Auburn. I've been told Packard may have used the same trunks so am checking with you folks on the Packard forum. Please see the photos for details:

Any help is greatly appreciated! Please email me at jkerns25@gmail.com with any leads.

  3. Mike,

What you have is not technically original, meaning it wasn't sold during the time of the car's production. If so it would say Auburn Automobile Co. and not have a price.

The manual you have was sold by the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Co. sometime after the demise of Auburn, likely in the 40's or 50's. It is still a good manual as the content is the same as the original ones.

As for value I would say somewhere in the $30-$50 range depending on what kind of buyer you find. Others may have more experience with the value and can chime in to correct me. At any given moment there are usually a handful on ebay at various prices.

  4. If you are going to get Fred Roe's "Duesenberg: The Pursuit of Perfection" be aware that the second printing (red cover) has the appendix with ownership data. The first printing (black cover) does not. Both are excellent Duesenberg reference books.
