  1. hi there - I got that far, as to remove key tumbler (paper clip) but i cannot get the back portion removed - even after removing one screw - is there 2?
  2. 1955 Buick - Ignition switch removal? i can remove the "key tumbler" and (1) screw from behind/under dash (screw is located on rhs) but the escution plate and inside housing will not seperate (i assume chrome plate comes off from front and housing is removed from behind) this is the last thing i need out - to remove dash any ideas? is there more than one screw under dash? thank you

  7. Howdy I have (2) seperate "grill covers" for my front speaker one which came off my Special ans the second i had in a box now the second is all chrome and has a hole in the center and i would like to know what it is for....any thoughts? thank you jesse
  8. does it have self adjusting - or just an access port? i have a 65 Chev and i do not believe they are self adjusting

I was wondering what is the best method to get Dual exhaust under the Special did 55 Century's have a "hole" in the driver side frame for thru piping? i guess thats why i see many with Lake Pipes:eek: anyone successfully pull this off? also i need a good sorce for inner and outer rocker panles thanx in advance

  15. thanks Willie strange indeed I bought an entire trim set for my car (it was said to be off of a 55) it came w/ (2) 47" sections one for each side - one is damaged i was worried it wouldn't fit - now you confirmed it thanx for the responses guys

  17. hi there car: 1955 Buick Special 2 door hardtop I've been piecing together a trim set and was surprized to see i had 2 different lengths for my fender spears (naturally a 52 1/2" driver and a 47" passenger) any insight into this? btw if anyone wants to trade plmk here are the good driver quality pieces i have: driver side fender 52" passenger side fender 47" passenger door 48" driver door 48" i am looking for: driver side fender 47" or passenger side fender 52" also i need clean small arcs 22.5" - each side

  19. thanks Pete somehow I wound up with (2) DRIVER fender trim spears (I only need one) anyone wanna trade one of mine for any of the following (must be real clean though) Passenger fender spear Driver or Passenger small arc (or may consider rear 4 door trim arcs - maybe i can "cut it down to proper length for a 2 door)
  20. can't a decent auto upholsterer make one? thats what i did for my 65 wagon he had a source in Cali that made it to size and he installed it - looks good or are you going for absolute correctness?
  21. greetings i have a 55 Special 2 Door HT I am looking for stainless side trim: Doors (drive + passenger) front of rear wheel trim (each side - approx 22 1/2" long ) Passenger side rear wheel arc looking foe decent driver quality thanx jesse
