  1. I would like to dispose of these items ASAP, like the end of next week. Moving and have no need for them. Block was fitted for new crank bearings; crank has been turned. MUST pick up before 11/4/2011. Best offer over $100 takes all.

Located right off I-80 (Exit 314) in Northern Nevada. Come and Get it!!

    Thanks for looking.......

  2. Hey, Guys! Don't cry and moan when this stuff sells for three times the price. Collecting since late 1970's and this stuff is not going to get any cheaper. Hate the idea of sending to the scrap yard, but.....

Like I said before, don't cry when you can't find stuff at a reasonable cost.

  3. Trans came from a 69 Electra Buick 430. Have converter. Trans by itself is $300, add $100 for converter. This converter is for towing and RV use, so if you are using this transmission for those applications, it will improve your gas mileage. Pickup is best. NE Nevada off I-80.

  8. Desperately need storage for several cars in the Phoenix area. These cars do not deserve to be left to the elements outside. PLEASE help. Reasonable rent-lease. Longtime Buick enthusiast. Location for tons of parts and cars would be ideal! Would split rent with one or two others on large facility.

Thanks to All for any and all help!

  9. Hello! That's where I will look first. I am acquainted with how to remove the switch. It was never mounted upside down and have only had the problem since there have been long periods of storage. I'll check it out and go from there.

Thanks for taking time to reply!

  10. Hello! Before I jack up my 59 Electra and drop the starter, I thought I'd better consult with the wise men (and women) in this Forum for their thoughts.

I recently brought this car out of a long storage. It had been sitting in Illinois for nearly 15 years before I got her back to the West Coast. However, my first attempt starting her reminded me of a condition that took place years earlier. As you know, the famous starter switch on the carb actually activates the starter. As I primed the carb and hit the acellerator, the starter would not stop running. I had this problem years earlier and replaced the starter solenoid, as the winter weather and long storage periods would leave rust from moisture in the solenoid.

I am now wondering if the starter switch on the carb might be the problem. Could there be gunk and maybe some rust buildup in there?

Has anyone else had this problem before?

If you have, please let me know what you did to remedy the problem.

Maybe I can avoid having to drop this starter while laying on my back!!!

  11. Need a good 59 Buick starter. The plunger inside the solenoid is stuck, perhaps from moisture built up in winter storage.

If you have a good starter for my 59, please contact me via email with cost, including shipping.

Yea, I know I should just replace the solenoid, but the car has been sitting nearly 20 years. Getting a bit older and cannot climb under the car like I used to. I'd like to pull the one out and just put the replacement in and start her up and be done with it!

    Many Thanks!!

  12. I have decided to forgo getting my booster repaired on my 1961 Buick and go with with an undated two-reservoir master cylinder and undated booster.

If there is someone in the Forum who has done this, I'd like to know which model and year booster-master cylinder package you used. I think it's a good idea to upgrade my brake system.

    Many Thanks for your help!

  13. I have several. Do you need a Lesabre or Invicta/Electra? 45.00 plus shipping

Hi! I thought they are all the same. However, it's going on an Electra 59.

I can do PayPal or whatever. Pls advise.

    Mike
