I have a 1950 263 engine & Dynaflow, complete with manifolds, starter, generator.
It ran well several years ago. I'm in NC. Let me know what further detail you need.

Thanks old-tank & Leif!

I'm getting ready to pull the heads on my Century, as one (or more) valve is bad, the stem is worn down to .080 above the keeper. I've been into other engines over the years, but not a nailhead. Anything specific to this engine I should do or not do prior to pulling the heads, other than the obvious? Also, once the heads are off, is there any Nailhead-specific work that should be done to improve power & efficiency? Thanks!

The Super, series 50, engine was the 248 c.i. and came with the CC as standard equipment.

Of the two relays ylou mentioned, I also changed the relay on the left (drivers side) as I was advised this is the more common problem w/ the ABS lite staying on after start-up. It fixed it.

My '41 Super Series 50 needs rear axle work, gears & bearings are worn & noisy, as is one of the axle bearings. I have a line on a low mileage '49 Series 50 w/ dynaflow, complete rear axle assembly, with torque tube. Will this '49 assembly interchange w/ the '41? Would the gear ratio in the '49 with dynaflow improve engine rpm @ hi way speeds? The '41 ratio is 4:1 +- and I've heard the '49 with Dynaflow is Approx. 3:5 +- . Thx for any advice.

Barney,
Steele Rubber Products & Metro Molded has new reproduction gaskets for your model, same as Special, series 40.
