thank you all for so much input!...took the whole front off today to check all the wires..there was a short on the drivers site park light ( wire touched metal) fixed it and problem persists!..
park lights will not even come on when I pull the light switch out all the way...they only come on when either blinker is turned on!...and they are solid!
did not check the rear wiring yet!
blinkers relays under dash both work properly!

ahhh...that makes sense..thanks for this hint!...will check next weekend!..the problem was probably there before I even bought it!..hehe...

only!!! happens when I use turn signals...taillights behave normally...its just the front marker lights that will go on and stay on while the turn signal lights blink...stepping on brake does not change it..

yes, removed fuel rail from car and cleaned injectors, then put back into car...
I have a service manual now.. ( chilton manual) which in my opinion is not the best...
still wondering why idling is rough!

89 tc, 4cyl.ca. 100kmiles..
new ignition system, plugs, cables, removed and cleaned injectors, new pcv valve...still starting rough ( runs on 2 or 3 cyl. then all 4) idles rough...runs fine! with no issues!...do I need to check the fuel filter? ( where is it) new fuel pump?
any other way to chekc what it might be?

hi there! 89 4cyl tc..when turn signals are on, position lights light up and stay on while blinkers are flashing...if you stop blinking, they go out again..
replaced flasher relay, checked wires..all seems ok...any hints?

had same probem...no other way than removing old lleather and replace it with either real leather or artificial leather...thats what I did!..and it looks better than the real thing!

anyone ever built a stand for the hardtop? or modified something to a stand?

there is one in long beach, pretty beat up but with a great engine...i went to see it but bought another one which was complete...check craigslist...says no dents ( not true)
i guess he would let it go for 1500

thank you for the fast reply!...my pulldown motor question was a little to fast, as I stated it before I even bought my tc..and the former owner just said, its broken..well...it is not!...it works and I am glad it does....
now....do you still have the weatherstripping of the drivers side? ( outside)
this is completely gone on my tc....
how much would it be? and how much would the shipping be?
