1940 Packard 1808 Touring Sedan

West Peterson

The 1940 Packards were the first production cars available with air conditioning. Each body style had its own serial number prefix, and this car has the highest known number for Super 8 touring sedans. It was delivered to its first owner in Kansas City, Mo. in July 1940, and is equipped with air conditioning, Custom Deluxe radio, dual heaters, and overdrive. It was put into a small museum around 1960, and has just 51,000 miles on it.

The Touring Sedan has the same body as the limousine, and has jump seats, but it does not have the division window.
