Ted "Wildcat65" Nagel
It was originally equipped with a ST400 variable pitch trannie. If its been changed to a regular TH400 then it can be changed back by way of conversion or finding a '67 ST400. vito_d
wow i may have to stand corrected.....i did not realize it was an st400 stock. now im really not sure what is in there. all i can really be sure of is that the kick down switch is not like the 65 rivi with the extra terminalthx vito
vito_d
hi tedthx for your input, here is where i am right now. you are correct i should have a variable pitch convertor. if i do, it does not work. so either it was removed sometime in the past or my kickdown switch is bad. so im in search of a switch now. i do have the extra wire from the switch to the two post terminal on the tranny and the pan is shaped as it should be for that system. thx vito
