Help-sometimes the gauges go out and turn back on, what is wrong?-88 Reatta

I am guessing the gauges that are going out are on the CRT.......... the oil pressure, amp, fuel level, and water temp all come from the ECM,  then to the BCM then on to the CRT and/or the dash cluster.  You could have a bad connection at any of the locations...... the cheap and easy place to start is to unplug, clean, and replug the ECM and BCM.  If you are lucky the problem will go away.
