hallmm58
I'm in the market for a project car. I found this 1956 Pontiac Star Chief in a yard in town. The owner is asking 4500. It's been sitting for a year. Is the car a good choice to restore (my research shows it may be) and is the price reasonable? Please review the attached pictures and tell me what you think. GARY F
first, i like Pontiacs. It looks like a solid car. what part of the US is it from? Northeast could have rust in frame, floor pans. Does the motor turn over? Chrome looks like it will shine up. Price, i cant guess but look at sold ebay to get an idea. let us know what you do. If the motor turns over $4000.00. Good luck
hallmm58
It has 1956 California plates but a Missouri sticker in the window. Don't know if it cranks. Thanks for your thoughts.
GARY F
If you dont mind doing a little work and you like the car grab it. If I didnt have a project going (63GP) and it was close to me I would buy it. I like those 4dr. hts.
Summershandy
I recently grabbed this '54 for about the same price in Canada. It still ran. I love the simplicity of these cars. I'm finding parts are quite available. Do what Gary suggests. You want a project, you like it, you got the cash? Try $3800. Seller should def go to $4000. Do your homework best you can and good luck!
