trimacar
I'm looking for a picture or two of an open, early, brass car with a fabric roll-down windshield. These were referred to as winter fronts, I believe. They roll down from front top bow and of course have clear panels sewn into them for vision. Any picture appreciated, thanks! Here's one rolled up, but want to see it unrolled and in place! Edited July 13, 2017 by trimacar change picture (see edit history)
Larry Schramm
I thought that winter fronts were the covers that were put over the radiator.
DavidMc
This is a photo of my 1912 Maxwell with the "winterfront", it was fitted, along with the new top, by the previous owner and I believe it was all copied from the remains of originals. I have since fitted a brass windshield
