Rob Mangieri
Ive done a bit of searching and cannot seem to locate a source for brushes to rebuild my seat and window motors. Any help is greatly appreciated. Recently aquired my first Buick 1964 Riviera 425, Deluxe Interior, Vintage Air etc.. Love it! Thanks in advance, -Rob
Scott Mckenzie
Perhaps an automotive re-builder for starters / alternators might be a source. I took apart my seat motor and replaced all the old dry grease with new and it made the world of difference. these motors are not in continues use so even after 50 + years they dont get much use. I replaced all my window motors with new Dorman units and they work really well.
RivNut
The biggest problem with power seats in these cars is build up of dried grease and dirt on the screw mechanism that moves the seat forward and back. They sit in the one position that the driver is comfortable with so many years, they never get used. That lets lubricant dry out and doesn't keep the mechanism clean. Clean everything up really good then see how well they work (or don't.)
