This original topper is the hardest part of what you'll need to put together a complete mechanic's hat. There are lots of plain black "frames" (the lower portion of the hat) out there on eBay and elsewhere. Combine one of those with this topper, and you've got a great display piece. This topper has gray striped pattern cloth. There is one mended hole in the very top surface. Also, some spots from use here and there. I have not done any cleaning. Presents very well.
