Booreatta
My 84 has a cb radio, it is just the mic, was this a factory option, It appears to have a plug on the end. Where does this plug in. How many cars were built with the radio. Any information would be appreciated
Dales90
You can probably see a brochure from 84, they issued Delco sound system brochures to see if yours is factory,But I know in that timeframe they had AM/FM Cassette/CB's, cuz I had one in my Electra It required a special power antenna, which had a transciever bump mid-point. tim63riv
Easiest way to tell is to look for "Delco" on the mic. There were some factory units that had the channel display on the mic, along with the volume and squelch control. These CB's had the cable attached to the radio from under the dash if I remember right. Interesting to remember that old technology, 10-4, good buddy!Tim

tim63riv
C.B.'s were optional. I don't have any data on how many were equipped with them, but I would imagine the numbers are very low! The mid 80's were the sunset for C.B.'s and the dawn for cellular phones.Tim
