Guest wheelsport
The waste gate on my '89 TC is stuck. The vacuum motor checks out good with a vacuum pump. Can it be broken loose?
Hemi Dude
The waste gate on my '89 TC is stuck. The vacuum motor checks out good with a vacuum pump. Can it be broken loose? The waste gate is opened by pressure, not vacuum. It is the excessive boost pressure that activates the waste gate relay and in turn activates the waste gate diaphragm. Guest wheelsport
What you're saying is that the diaphragm pushes the control arm instead of pulling it? The gate goes away from the diaphragm - not towards it.
