RICK YOUNG
Greetings Forum FolksYou can now count me in as a fellow GS owner. Recently purchased a 72 GS 455 original Fire Red with Black Vinyl top.The chassis number correctly identifies the GS and 455 (non Stage 1).It is a Flint carThe block casting # is 1238861 with 455 above which is correct I believeThe "WF" is stamped correctly between 5 and 7 on top face of the block. So far I think I have a "correct" block. Trying to verify a "matching" engine.1st question? directly to the right of the "WF" it is stamped "0b4". What is the 0b4?2nd question? I removed the power steering pump. No Engine number there on front of block on driver side.I used paint remover over on the passenger side in front of the Oil pressure sender. Nothing there either.Do I need to pull timing cover off to find it on the passenger side?Thank you for any input.See you in Springfield
