Budensor
I'm a new owner of a 1936 Roadmaster 80C and when I bought her I thought the Grill Emblem looked Ok. But after some research I found it suppose to be Chrome and Red Cloisonné Enamel not Brass and Red Enamel. The Red Cloisonné Enamel looks great but the Chrome is gone. The question is Can it be Rechromed with out ruling the Enamel. Or does anyone have one I could buy I would want Show grade or NOS.

Guest haldee8
You can get it rechromed at the Chrome shop in Menasha, WI. They are the company emblem magic would send it to anyways. I learned this from talking to the owner of Emblem Magic. I to have a 1936 grille emblem with great enamel but in need of rechroming also, and Emblem Magic said it would be fine to get finished at this establishment since they are who does their rechroming. He said the emblems are rechromed AFTER the enamel process because enameling would hurt the chrome(high heat?) I have NOT sent mine to them yet, so I can NOT tell you about my experience, yet. I do plan to use them once life lets me get back to restoring car. (My second child on the way, holding pattern on ALL projects per orders of MAMA!!) Hope it helps, good luck, please let us know how it turns out, which ever way you choose to do.
