raleets
Just like in my other old Buicks, I'm thinking it's a good idea to have a small fire extinguisher mounted in the trunk of my '89 coupe.Any suggestions on where to mount it?
Machiner 55
Bob,How about to the pass-through door. That way you could access it from the inside as well as out.John F.
Guest Corvanti
somewhere in the interior where it is in reach from the driver's seat/door area - probably right behind the seat. if you are hit from the rear, the trunk may not be accessible, plus the gas tank is right underneath...no one with any car knowledge would think a visible extinguisher would be a problem. trimacar
Do a big fire extinguisher, or two small ones....I've had an engine fire that I thought a small one would put out, it didn't, nor did the small extinguisher from the gentleman behind me on the tour....but the gallon of water I kept in trunk worked...so don't assume you'll have a little bitty fire, assume and prepare for the worst fire you can think of....
