carlisle1926
I bought this early 1950's International truck to chop up for an artwork project. It looked absolutely terrible when I first found it in far North Texas. After I hauled it home and began to clean it, I quickly noticed that this wasn't the pile of junk I had thought it to be. The front floor boards are rotted because the cowl vent was left wide open and a raccoon had a nasty nest in the floor. The area under the seat has NO rot. There is rust in the bottom of the tailgate, but that is it! There is NO rust in the door bottoms or cab corners like most old worn out trucks found around here. I believe this truck has hope. The grille, radiator and some engine parts are missing. The engine is stuck. The 4 speed transmission shifts and all four wheels roll, but the tires are blown out. The truck has 5 lug wheels. It came with a 1953 Texas title that matches the engine serial number. However, I believe this truck to be a 1950-1952 model. Call Jason Barnett (713) 817-8997 $1400 firm. Fleek
Hope someone can give it a home. I agree it looks too good to scrap. Parts, or rebuild, it has value. Just too far away for me.
carlisle1926
Well time is up here at home. The truck is no longer for sale. The International is being parted out this week. If you need parts let me know. I don't waste time once the torch is fired up. I will be keeping the rear half of the cab and the last two feet of the bed. All other parts are up for grabs now. I prefer that you come down here and pick up the parts. My intentions are to have the carcass entirely disposed of by August 1, 2014.
