Guest 47jag
Can anyone post or send me a picture of the accelerator linkage on a '38 McLaughlin Model 90 (RHD). I seem to be missing a bit. Should there be a bell-crank high on the firewall. Should the cross-shaft be horizontal at the idle position. The engine was all disconnected when I got the car so I've no idea what is missing.Art

Guest 47jag
Thanks Allan,This is what I have.https://www.flickr.com/photos/124262898@N04/14307885635/I reckon the crank at the bulkhead should be more towards horizontal which would require a link going vertically to a bell-crank. In saying that though the link on the carb. looks too short and to reach the bulkhead area and it looks or original. Art
1939_Buick
Email sent with some pictures from a RHD 1938 90 in NamibiaFor 1939 it is a simpler arrangement
Guest 47jag
Thank Allan,From the pictures it looks like I've installed the carb. 180 degrees out. I fitted it with the fuel feed to the front which seemed the logical way. This why I didn't have a clear linkage run to the cross-shaft as the manifolds were in the way. I'll turn the carb. around tomorrow and take it from there.Art
DBT
Sorry chaps - been away from the forum. How did you get on Art with the linkage? Happy to hear of another 90 being put back on the road! Any pics?
