Guest James Cook
I have a severe rear oil leak on my 41. Trying to assess the problem but I can't get the oil pan down. It's hitting the wishbone and won't drop. Any suggestions??
Beltfed
I had to take the radius rods loose where they connect to the cross member on my '38. Then had to wiggle/jiggle to get it off. Henry didn't make the Zephyr easy to work on. I think it is a good idea to grab the stem on your oil float and pull it to the top and put a piece of tape around it to hold it there. Upon reassembly, this will keep the float out of the way as you wiggle and curse the oil pan back on. Good luck.
Mssr. Bwatoe
CHK THE BACK OF THE OIL PAN, THE CORK GASKET MUST BE GLUED IN PLACE AND A LITTLE SEALER ON THE EDGES OR IT WILL SPLUGE..LIKE A SMALL BLOCK CHEV INTAKE..FT AND REAR GASKET..TRY TO LOCATE ARE OF LEAK BEFORE YOU PULL..THE RADIUS ROD BALL HAS 2 BOLTS AND THE YOU SHOULD POP THE DRAG LINK FROM THE STEERING BOX....POSSIBLE EXHAUST CROSS OVER..
