'39 Buick mid-windshield trim???

I am not near my Buick right now and a thought came up while talking to a friend. Does the SS trim on the outside of the center post just snap onto the post or is it screwed onto the post from the inside?

Thinking about putting an outside visor on and I was wondering if the arm that attaches to the outside trim would be able to pull the trim piece of with enough wind pressure.

Snaps in. But many get damaged when removing. Its very thin
