This 1935 Ford Deluxe Fordor Sedan is a special car. It was sold new by Keller Brothers Ford in Lititz, PA. The original owner kept the car until 1971 and, by that point, it had only been driven about 50,000 miles. The owner traded the car back to the dealership where it was kept on display until 1983. From 1983 until about three years ago, the car passed through the hands three other collectors and spent most of its time in Florida. All of its owners were careful caretakers of the car. Each keeping exacting records of servicing, mileage, receipts, copies of titles,invoices, business cards,manuals etc. etc. Today, the car has just over 70,000 original miles. The car is mostly original and extremely well preserved. In many respects, it looks like a restored car, but it isn't. At some point, the fenders were likely repainted and in recent years, the wheels were repainted and new tires installed. The body, hood, doors, headlamps, spare tire cover, etc are all in original Ford black paint which remains today in excellent condition. Most of the apple green pinstripe is also intact and bright. The glass is original and with the exception of some fogging on the windshield and one door glass, is extremely nice including all of the glass channels and moldings. The chrome is all original and like new. The grill is perfectly straight and is not pitted or corroded. Inside, the interior is all original and excellent including the seats, door panels, headliner, etc. The interior paint is all original including the dash and garnish moldings. The gauges look like new. The car retains its original top insert and running board covers which show hardly any wear. Needless to say, the body has never seen any rust and has never been repaired. The fenders are just as nice on the bottom as on the top. The door and hood fit is better than most restored cars. Underneath, the chassis retains most of its original paint, neither the frame nor the floor pans are rusted or pitted. The engine bay is extremely clean. Mechanically, the car runs like a dream. It starts easily, idles smooth, shifts flawlessly, the clutch does not chatter, the steering and brakes are reponsive. The engine makes plenty of power, does not smoke, does not overheat, and is quiet. One of the most recent owners installed a driveshaft-mounted overdrive unit which allows the car to cruise at highway speeds. The car has been fitted with cast iron cylinder heads as well. The engine still retains its original engine pans, etc. In recent years, the car has been actively toured and used regularly. All of the lights, heater, horns, work as they should. The car received its HPOF (Historical Preservation of Original Features) Award from the AACA in 1993. It was invited and shown at the first Amelia Island Concours d'elegance. It comes with a large and well packed three ring binder with all of its documentation. This vehicle is ready to be used and enjoyed. It is a great example of what a mid-1930s Ford V8 is supposed to look like as well as a history lesson on how these cars were built and finished. It is ready to show or tour anywhere with confidence. The price is a reasonable 23,000.00 and the car is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It has a clear and current title. Another winner, Guy. Not so much loss of value but yes, there seems to be a duty attached with this one not to overuse - but then again would be a great tour car with OD & today's "use" for this car wold be different from daily use...

Anyway, Guy, I don't believe you have a website - do you happen to have a list or facebook page, or some such thing? Just curious as you have had some very interesting listings.

Thanks for the nice comments, Steve. This is a really nice car both cosmetically and mechanically. The car has been driven on a few Gliddens and other AACA National tours as well as some EFV8 Club tours in the past five years, including a long road trip this past summer. I don't have a website yet. Kind of funny, I know. Most of my cars get sold before I they get advertised anywhere to past customers and friends, or people that have sent me a note looking for a specific car or type of car. Since I am a "one man band" keeping up a website would likely require some outside help. Also, while I am mechanically savy when it comes to working on cars, computer technology is still a mystery!
