Pete Phillips
Does anyone one know if the 1948 Olds 98 and 1949 Olds 98 upper grille bar extensions (that go around the corner of the front fender) are the same? I need one for my '48 and have found a place that has one for a '49. The '48 Olds 98 uses the same body as the '49. Photos of my '48 attached. misterc9
According to my 1955 Motors crash book. 1948-49 "98" Olds right grill extension GM #419878, left #419879. 1949 "88" and "76"are different. The big center bar between them #419880 fits 1948-49 "98"and 1949-50 "76"and "88" and 1951 "88A".
