Guest uprrstand
I have a 1930 buick series 50 with about 67,000 miles on them, don't know if they are the same as 1931, at a glance they look and feel smooth. If interested i'll check them closer.
nzcarnerd
You might need to check that one closely. The 1930 Series 50 was a big car (331 cubes, 124" wb) whereas the 1931 Series 50 (220 cubes, 114" wb) was essentially a carry over of the Marquette chassis, so might use lighter weight parts. Guest uprrstand
Your right, There looks to be a difference in the ring and pinion gears. So many different sizes, for every model.
