mystery amp/oil gauge

This is one of the last parts I got in a lot that I have never identified. Hope you experts can help. There is no markings whatsoever anywhere. The size is 2.25x4.375.

The picture needs to be rotated 90 degrees to the right to show it as installed. It appears this is the right side of a gauge cluster that would surround the speedometer with the temperature and fuel gauges on the left.

Once properly oriented, I am able to hazard a guess this belongs to a 51-55 era Oldsmobile.

I hope someone can tell me something, its in great shape and I would like it to go to a car someday.

Thanks, we must have posted at the same time. Does anyone have any pics of it in the car? I still can't find anything looking through pics. I'll keep looking I hope someone here can hurry up my search.

It looks like it should be from the 40's to me but I can not recall what it is for. Maybe an independant, kaiser, nash, hudson, etc? Will look some more this weekend.

Look to see if there are any #'s on the back. Amazing what you can find on google w/ just a set of #'s. Good luck.

There is nothing on the back. This little gauge has stumped everyone so far.
