drwatson
Hi, P/N 113 905 115 on the Bosch coil says it's for a Super Beetle made 1971 and 1972. The box does not help except your Dad must have recycled it. Aircooled.Net, Inc. - Anatomy of a VW Part Number
F&J
VW coils don't have that type of 9 digits. That is the bracket number, I think. Also, the number 15 is actually the ID number for which wire goes where. 15 is "power from key". There will be a number 1 on the oposite side which stands for "wire from distributor/condenser/points".Most VW older coils for 12v aircooled cars will have a 3 gang spade connector on the 15 terminal, and one or 2 on the 1 terminal. If someone used a replacement coil from that box, the gang connectors may have been taken from the VW coil.
